Empire At War - Forces of Corruption Expansion
Many of the complaints I had with Empire at War have been fixed with forces of Corruption. However Princess Leia in her Jabba the Hutt outfit is still missing! However A-Wings and B-Wings have been added and you will need them. As the Rebellion you seem to spend most of your time building replacement fighters and bombers as the corruption forces have a distinct advantage over you. The empire now also has interceptors, phantoms and defenders to add to the hordes of tie fighters and bombers.

The new added characters are numerous - one - Silri - a dark force user can even call forth her own raptor - you also need to watch out for her light saber witch. The concept of corruption gives the Zann consortium the chance to earn huge amounts of income without having to straight away conquer every planet. Through slavery, black markets, kidnapping, piracy, racketeering and bribery your web of corruption spreads.

Also added for the consortium are some serious capital ships with special weapons and the ability to self destruct and take lots of the enemy out with their demise. The Aggressor-class destroyer and Keldabe-class battleship aren't pretty but they dish out serious punishment and seem to take forever to destroy.
Destroyer Droids make a comeback with shields, blasters and all. Also added is orbital bombardment and mobile defense units.

The previous huge advantage in capital ships the rebellion had is lost, both the consortium and the empire now have some serious firepower, the empire with Thawn's capital ship, and Darth Varder's Super Star destroyer - so big it fills half the screen - with more hitpoints and lazers than can be aimed on just one ship. To stop you building nothing but super star destroyers these types of special capital ships are linked to characters only. The second death star also makes its comeback.

Whereas in Empire at War the rebellion had an unfair advantage in capital ships, with these new updates the rebellion finds itself in a more difficult proposition. To try and make up this new balance the rebellion has been given MC30 Frigates - a light Mon Calamari craft designed to quickly destroy larger ships. The only problem is that it has a lack of armor and therefor staying power - it does have a nice cluster bomb feature which if time well can get rid of some of those annoying Zann consortium fighters - the StarVipers

Like most game expansions the expansions has what the original should have included. The concept of corruption is interesting but annoying for the empire and rebellion as getting rid of corruption eats up a sizable portion of your budget.
Now for a bit of humor this is a look at the 'computer help desk' for the death star!!
